Hello
Promoting self-esteem, individuality, confidence and promoting participation are the core of what motivates me across all aspects of my life as an occupational therapist, as a coach and as a mum of two.
Growing up can be hard at times but I believe that with the right tools this path can be much smoother for children and their family. Having worked with a vast number of children and young people, it has often felt frustrating that they reach support when their confidence and self esteem has already been compromised.
I am motivated to support children and their family to better understand themselves, identify their strengths and overcome challenges. They may need some extra support to do this but I believe that all children all have the capacity to do so. A shared language and understanding and a practical took kit established which promotes healthy relationships and cultivates a landscape for a lifetime of successful navigation around any challenge.
Through stories, examples, fun activities and games I can help children to understand their emotions and feelings and promote their self-confidence and resilience to take on anything.
I meet children where they are at, move at their pace and provide a structure to enable them to navigate their own path.
Your child may be having difficulty managing their feelings or expressing their emotions, they may be unable to join in or participate in activities they want to or they may be having difficulty accessing education.
I can work with your child 1:1, using a tailored format to the coaching sessions to support them with a specific issue they might be experiencing. I can do this face to face or on a remote platform. If you would be interested in this please book a complimentary discovery call below:
I currently run a group for children age 7-12 years old in Houston, Renfrewshire. Please get in touch if you would like more information
I am available to run workshops, assemblies or a set of sessions for your school or group. You may want support with a particular issue i.e. transition to high school, exams, class tests etc. Anything is considered so please get in contact to discuss how we might be able to work together.

“Our daughter is struggling with changed and selective anxiety. Kirsty has been working 1:1 and we are already seeing a change. An example is that each year we struggle to get her to perform in shows, she will get up at all hours of the night with a sore tummy, crying, feeling she can’t sleep or can’t go to school. At the school nativity this year we has no negative talk and she did the show amazingly well, with big smiles. Not only did we feel emotional seeing this, but we had other parents who know her commenting on the change and all we could do is thank Kirsty. If your child is needing some help, please give Kirsty a message, it will be the best thing you will do”
“Kirsty has helped our daughter immensely. She has made her feel like someone
understands her and that there is someone who is always there to listen that isn’t
a parent. She has helped our daughter to see that there is a way for her to
manage her worries and to stop them from taking over. I’m not sure what we would
have done without her.”
“We now read through the positive affirmations regularly, which has helped us think about our outlook differently. we have set up a worry box and put her worries in it, this has allowed us to discuss her worries regularly which has help us to have better
communication with our daughter and to understand what she is thinking more”
